Monogrammed and dated "EC. April. 79" l.r., dated, titled, and signed ".../S. Em. Carlsen." on the reverse, an unattributed page bearing a reproduction of Carlsen's Seaweed Gatherers, 1881, affixed to the frame.
Oil on canvas, 10 1/4 x 12 in. (26.0 x 30.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, stretcher replaced, extremely minor drying cracks, minor retouch.
Provenance: A New York estate.
