Signed and dated "Elshemus. 1908." l.l., inscribed indistinctly "GER...A.../FR(4)" on the reverse, with an ink stamp from Valentine Gallery, New York, applied to the back of the frame.
Oil on canvas, 27 1/2 x 23 1/4 in. (70.0 x 8.3 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor surface grime.
Provenance: The estate of The Reverend. Canon Carlson Gerdau, New York, sold to benefit St. Mark's School, Southborough, Massachusetts.
