Signed "W. HOUGH" l.l., identified and titled on a label from Alexander Gallery, New York, affixed to the stretcher and backing.
Oil on canvas, 15 x 19 in. (38.1 x 48.3 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, minor retouch, craquelure, a few minute pinprick losses to paint u.r.
Provenance: The Stebbins family collection, Massachusetts, purchased from Michael Altman Fine Arts, New York, in 1997.

The work has an old glue lining. The retouch is several dots and dashes, plus a quarter-size area in the center and a slightly larger area u.r. (to the left of the little losses). See UV images.
The frame is 26 3/4 x 30 1/2 x 4 in.
