Pierre-Auguste Renoir (French, 1841-1919)
Le chapeau épinglé, 1re planche, 1897, from the edition of 100 printed in black (Stella, 29). Signed and dated within the matrix. Lithograph on paper, image size 23 5/8 x 19 1/2 in. (60.0 x 49.5 cm),framed.
Condition: Gentle cockling, fox mark to lower margin, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: A Massachusetts estate.

Out of the frame the sheet is a full sheet with deckled edges, laid paper with an "MBM" watermark. The image is very gently light-struck. There is also pale mat burn. The edges of the sheet are gentle cockled. It is hinged to the back mat at the upper corners on verso.
The frame is 38 1/4 x 29 3/4 x 1 1/2 in.
