Alberto Giacometti (Swiss, 1901-1966)
Trois figurines, 1959, from Catalogue Kornfeld & Klipstein, edition of 100 (Lust, 105). Signed "Alberto Giacometti" in pencil l.r., numbered "53/100" in pencil l.r., stamped "MADE IN FRANCE" on verso. Etching on heavy laid paper with "...Richard de Bas" watermark, plate size 6 3/8 x 4 1/4 in. (16.2 x 10.8 cm),matted, unframed.
Condition: Deckled right and lower edges, light stained, mat burn, pencil annotations to lower edge.
Provenance: A private western Massachusetts collection.
Estimate $800-1,200
The staining is especially visible, but the work is otherwise in reasonable condition.
