Ivan Le Lorraine Albright (American, 1897-1983)
Self Portrait at 55 East Division Street, 1947, edition of 250, published by Associated American Artists, New York, in 1948 (Grayson, 13; AAA/Czestochowski, 1948.001). Signed "Ivan Le Lorraine Albright" in pencil l.r., with an invoice and a label from Frederick Baker, Inc., Chicago, and a label from IFPDA, all affixed to the frame backing. Lithograph on paper, image size 14 1/4 x 10 1/8 in. (36.2 x 25.7 cm),framed.
Condition: Pale foxing, not examined out of frame.
Provenance: The estate of The Reverend Canon Carlson Gerdau, New York, sold to benefit St. Mark's School, Southborough, Massachusetts.

Out of the frame the sheet measures 16 1/2 x 13 inches. It is wove paper with all but the top margin deckled. The image is light-stained. There is soiling to the right margin and a fox mark to the left margin. There are pencil annotations, toning, and fox marks to the verso, as well as old hinges along the upper edge.
The frame is 22 x 17 1/2 x 3/4 in.
