Scottish Skeleton Regulator, Glasgow, attributed to Alex Witherspoon, c. 1801, stained round-top hardwood case, full-length glazed door with three-quarter barley-corn twist columns on each side, three blued-steel hands all off the center, skeletonized time-only movement and dial with 6-in. chapter ring at the center and 11-in. seconds at the outside, powered by a single brass-cased weight and regulated by a pendulum with a lead-filled brass cylinder on a wood rod, ht. 72 in.
