E. Howard & Co. No. 25 Astronomical Floor Regulator, Boston, the walnut "drum head" case with hinged and glazed dial door over the 14 1/2-in. reverse-painted glass dial marked "E. Howard & Co./Makers/Boston," movement with heavy brass plates, rear outboard winding drum, maintaining power, Geneva stop, engraved escapement bridge, jeweled escape wheel, pallet pivots and deadbeat faces, regulated by a four-jar mercury pendulum stamped on bridge "2161/19," and powered by a single brass-cased weight, ht. 80 in.
