Chippendale Carved Walnut Slant-lid Desk, possibly Virginia, c. 1785, the thumb-molded top opens to a central oval-paneled prospect door and reeded document drawers flanked by valanced compartments and drawers, above a case of four thumb-molded graduated drawers flanked by quarter-columns, all on ogee bracket base, ht. 43, wd. 41, dp. 22 1/2 in.
