Small Bowie Knife and Scabbard, c. mid-19th century, German silver grip and guard, indistinctly marked on the ricasso "VINEY'S/CUTLERY/NORTH SHIELDS," blade engraved with foliate designs and "NEVER DRAW ME WITHOUT REASON/NOR SHEATH ME WITHOUT HONOUR"; the leather scabbard with German silver fittings, blade lg. 6 5/8, overall lg. 12 in.

The makers mark on the ricasso is hard to discern, blade has a few small nicks, and the scabbard has some wear but in overall good condition.
