Condition: No obvious retouch.
Note: Lot includes a collection of correspondence and chandlery bills related to Jacob E. Hathaway, Captain of the schooner John A. Beckerman, and a copy of his obituary in which it is noted that he was thrown overboard in rough seas and drowned on April 15, 1881. The papers are housed in a Chas. T. Russell & Co., Shipbrokers & Commission Merchants Ship's Papers box.
