Federal Carved Mahogany Sofa, William Hook, Salem, c. 1815-20, the slightly bowed crest joining shaped arms on fluted, waterleaf-carved, and urn-turned supports, the supports on fluted plinths continuing to reeded ring-turned tapering legs ending in brass-cap casters and joined by serpentine seat rail, ht. 34 1/4, lg. 76, seat ht. 16 3/4 in.
