Meissen Porcelain Figural Compote with an Associated Base, Germany, late 19th/early 20th century, each polychrome enameled and gilded, the pierced compote bowl set atop a tree-form support surrounded by four figures playing "ring around the rosie," ht. 12 3/4; the raised square base with scrolled legs and decorated with flowerheads and insects, lg. 9 in.; underglaze crossed swords marks.
