Josef Zasche (Austrian, 1821-1881) After Marie Mizzi Wunsch (Austrian, 1862-1898) Ein Wichtiges Geheimnis, Austria, c. 1880, porcelain depiction of two street children sharing a secret, copy from Wunsch's original oil painting by Josef Zasche and signed "Jos. Zashe, Wein," on reverse title and "M. Wunsch," sight size 10 1/4 x 6 1/2, frame 17 x 12 in.
Note: Wunsch returned to this subject a number of times, this porcelain is based on a version sold at Christie's (South Kensington) on March 18, 1999.

The plaque is in very good condition with no evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations. The frame has had scattered retouch and repairs.
