Pair of William and Mary Caned Beech Side Chairs, England, late 17th century, openwork crest rails, caned backs with block- and ring-carved stiles, caned seats, scrolled front legs with openwork stretchers, modern green velvet cushions, ht. 51 1/2, seat ht. 19, wd. 17 1/2, dp. 19 in.

Estimate $500-700

One with break in cane at the front seat rail and small hole in the back, spliced repair to left rear leg, repair to front stretcher. Other with break to left stretcher at rear leg and repair to front seat rail. Both with loose joins, minor worming, and age cracks.
