Spotting/staining that seems to run in two irregular horitontal bands across the lower half of the print, most noticeable in the background at the l.l. near the figure's shoulder, but also in the figure's chin and at his right shoulder. The second band of spotting/staining runs along the bottom edge. Dots of foxing or staining in his shirt on the right side. Handling creases along l.r. edge, the most noticeable one presenting as a half circle (1-1/2 inch) in the black ink at the top of the figure's shoulder, and a subtle 4-inch handling crease running diagonally in the white backgound, located about 1/3 of the way up from the lower right corner.
