Signed "Hayley Lever" l.l., identified on a presentation plaque, titled, identified, and dated to 19[..] on a label from Clayton-Liberatore Art Gallery, Bridgehampton, New York, affixed to the stretcher.
Oil on canvas, 21 x 33 in. (53.3 x 83.8 cm),framed.
Condition: Lined, minor surface grime, craquelure.

N.B. We had initially described this painting as having the stretcher replaced, but the consignor reports that the stretcher is period to when the Clayton-Liberatire Art Gallery prepared unstretched canvases in their inventory for exhibition and sale c. 1950-60.
Minor varnish discoloration, extremely minor wear to edges hidden by the frame. Framed dimensions: 30 x 41 3/4 in.
