Grete Jalk (1920-2006) for France & Son Sofa, Denmark, c. 1960, teak and wool, with maker's round metal tag, ht. 31, wd. 80, dp. 30 in.
Note: Grete Juel Jalk was a Danish furniture designer. Active throughout the 1960s, her furniture features clear, comfortable lines. She also edited the Danish magazine Mobilia and compiled a four-volume work on Danish furniture. Jalk also designed silverware for Georg Jensen.

Pegs where arm joins riser are broken. Small piece of the arm splintered off but has been retained. Sofa comes with two extra leg and post assemblies.
