Dogon Male Figure, standing on a low round base, short legs and elongated torso and cut-out arms, device on neck would indicate the figure of a prisoner, with a diamond motif on chest and defined crest coiffure, eroded surface, ht. 16 7/8 in.
Provenance: Acquired in Yaye village, Mali, in the 1980s.
