Oil on canvas, 23 1/2 x 30 in., in a grain-painted frame.
Condition: Laid down on Masonite, evidence of canvas repair above each child's head and to the right of the girl with associated retouch.

retouch to an area above the boy's head, and lighter retouch to the background to his left; a similar area of retouch above the girls head, and much of the background to her right has the same light retouch. Minor spots of retouch elsewhere. The canvas has been laid down on Masonite. The areas of retouch above each child's head appear to be associated with canvas repairs.
