Similar, if not identical, specimens are shown on the front cover and Plate numbers 31, 33B and 35B in AMERICAN POLEARMS (1967) by Rodney Hilton Brown, and Plate 25 PA in SWORDS & BLADES OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (1973) by George Neumann. Similar examples are found in the Valley Forge Museum, the Fort Ticonderoga Museum, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Estimate $2,000-3,000

Head has some light pits and the attachment straps broke at some point and it was re-attached to another haft. The repair looks to have been done a long time ago.
