British Pattern 1769 Short Land Musket, Bayonet, and Horn, c. 1770s, .80 bore, walnut stock with a light storekeeper's stamp on the right butt, brass fittings, wrist plate marked "1/8," American-made sheet brass side plate, French 1763-66 lock marked "ST ETIENNE," a flared ramrod, an American-made bayonet, and a simple powder horn with a pine plug marked "W."
Stock has some dings and nicks, lock functions. This gun looks to have been re-locked during the period, with the American-made side plate being made to better fit the French lock. The bayonet was hand-wrought to fit this gun.
