Description:
U.S. Model 1872 Officer's Cap, c. 1870s, blue wool broadcloth body, four rows of officer's braid, in the center of the crown is a stamped brass "2," an embroidered wreath with a stamped brass "2" sewn to the front, with a gold chin strap and 1870s-era general service buttons, lined with brown silk (damage) and a brown leather sweatband.
Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison.

Some wear and loss on the silk liner and sweatband but in overall good condition.
