Richmond Armory Rifle Musket, c. 1863, .58 caliber, walnut stock with a star on the left side near the side nails and "AW," brass buttplate and nose cap, steel barrel bands marked "U," lock marked "C.S./RICHMOND, VA" and dated "1863," with a Confederate canvas and leather sling, barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 1/2 in.
