Description:

Three Chalkware Animals, Pennsylvania, mid to late 19th century, a rooster faintly dated "1879," a squirrel, and a poodle, ht. to 7 3/4 in.

Provenance: The poodle from Olde Hope Antiques, New Hope, Pennsylvania.

Note: The rooster figure was discussed and illustrated in the magazine American Collector, "The Last of the American Folk Arts," by Mary Allis, January 1941.
