Condition: Lined, retouch, small puncture c.l., craquelure, surface grime.
Provenance: The estate of Robert Wynne, Massachusetts.

Incised name , "T. Lyn.../..." on the stretcher at u.l. corner.
Several old repairs primarily to the background in the center between the figures. Small abrasion with puncture in the hip of Mars measuring 1/8 inch, with an extended line of craquelure in that area. Areas of skinning to the lower right quadrant, particular under Mars's legs and down through the center toward the bottom edge. Fine stable craquelure overall.
Framed dimensions are 49 3/4 x 41 x 3 1/2 inches.
