The Portfolio X + X (Ten Works by Ten Painters), 1964, edition of 500, published by the Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, printed by Ives-Sillman, New Haven. Numbered "116" in ink on the colophon page, each print with printer's dry stamp l.r. Color screenprints (some in multiple colors, with collage and/or cutout elements) on paper (except Lichtenstein on Mylar or similar),sheet sizes 24 x 20 in. (60.9 x 50.8 cm),unmatted, unframed, presented in their original paper folders within the original clamshell box (unobtrusive foxing/soiling).
Condition: Very minor soiling to several folders, soft crease to title page/folder along right edge.
N.B. The artists included in the portfolio are Stuart Davis, Robert Indiana, Ellsworth Kelly, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Motherwell, Larry Poons, George Ortman, Ad Reinhardt, Frank Stella, and Andy Warhol.

Portfolio dimensions: 25 5/8 x 21 1/8 x 1 1/4 inches. Each print is presented in its own paper folder printed with the artist's name on the recto. Image ghosting to the pages opposite of the prints. Title Page Folder: Small scuff to l.c. near edge, very minor stain to l.r. edge, and few very minor white circles of possible moisture staining in lower X; Artist List Page and Commission/Sponsor Page: very few pinprick accretions; Ortman Folder: very minor accretion to u.c., very minor accretion to u.l. on verso; Ortman Print: one minor faint fox mark or similar to l.l. edge; Stella Print: pinprick accretion to l.r. edge; Kelly Folder: two small accretions to l.l. corner; Motherwell Folder: few small scattered accretions on verso; Motherwell Print: few minor scattered fox marks or similar; Warhol Print: few minor scuffs with possible area of mold growth to l.c. edge in pant leg; Davis Folder: pinprick accretion to l.l. corner and white circle of possible moisture staining to "u", three small red scuffs measuring approximately 3/4 inch to inside of folder on left, 1/2 inch red scuff to verso; Davis Print: few pinprick accretions to verso; Lichtenstein Folder: small scattered fox marks or similar to inside of folder on right; Lichtenstein Mylar Print: minor scratches, few scuffs, minor rippling and surface inconsistencies to area of red, several small crescent divots and protrusions, small accretion at center on verso; Poons Folder: 1/2 inch red scuff to c.r. edge on verso; Indiana Print: diagonal scuff measuring approximately 2 1/2 inches u.c.; Reinhardt Print: few minor pinprick accretions to square, faint scuff approximately 5 inches to u.r. quadrant, and minor accretion l.l. quadrant outside of image.
