Kutani Covered Jar, Japan, Meiji period, baluster form with short straight neck and foot, depicting warrior figures in a continuous landscape between gilt red bands, the domed cover with a carved floral finial on top and a painted tiger in ink on the underside, twelve-character mark on base, partially reading "Shoreido Kichijo," ht. 8 1/2 in.
