Watercolor and Pen and Ink Fraktur Birth Letter, attributed to Marti Brechall, Pennsylvania, d. 1809, designed as a heart surmounted and flanked by birds and tulips, in red, blue, yellow, and brown pigments, 13 x 16 in., in a tiger maple beaded frame.
Provenance: The Old Print Shop, New York.

Sheet is backed with archival tissue (rice paper?) and there are likely some closed tears at the edges that are virtually imperceptible. There is a vertical paper imperfection through the center that is not a fold.
