Polychrome Decorated Bible Box, 18th century, the red-painted box with molded lid, single bead front molding forming a false drawer with brass drop pull, decorated on the front and sides with floral decoration, the front initialed "DA," (some paint enhanced),ht. 8, wd. 18, dp. 12 1/2 in.

There is evidence that the box once had four feet, and there is evidence that the false drawer had a wood pull.
