Louis XV-style Walnut Secretaire a Abattant, Bellanger, France, c. 1870, marble top, molded cornice above frieze drawer, fall-front carved with floral garland opens to fitted interior with three short drawers, four pigeonholes, and a leather writing surface, three long drawers, shaped, carved apron, label "Meubles sculptes Bellanger Fabricant 61 rue des saints Peres Paris," ht. 59 1/2, writing surface ht. 31, wd. 40 1/2, dp. 19 in.
Note: Bellanger was active between 1867 and 1876, winning a medal at the Exposition Universelle de 1867.
