Continental Snuffbox, possibly France, late 18th/early 19th century, the top mounted with a portrait miniature depicting a classically draped girl and an African child serving fruit to her, dia. 3 1/8 in.

Possible overpainting to sky on the upper left (does not fluoresce under blacklight but coloring/texture is off),small area of damage to middle right side. Exterior over-painted in a matte black. Several minor pinpricks to mounts.
