Baroque-style Walnut Tapestry Upholstered Settee, late 19th/early 20th century, back stiles with bronze urn-form finials, curved arms ending in scrolling hand rest, squared legs, carved stretcher, back panel depicts Hera in her peacock-drawn chariot, seat with flowers and fruit, silk fringe removed and stored in conservation box, light-blocking slip covers, ht. 50, seat ht. 22, wd. 69 1/4, dp. 18 in.

Age expected wear. 17th century Flemish tapestry back and seat; back in good condition, very good color and drawing, wool and silk quality, minor repairs. Seat in fair condition; very good drawing, with overall color fading and numerous areas of silk damage.
