U.S. Model 1861 "Norwich" Rifle-musket, c. 1863, bore .58, walnut stock with light cartouche marks on the left side, steel fittings, lock marked "1863" with an eagle and "U.S./NORWICH," barrel marked "1862" with proof marks on the left side of the breech, barrel lg. 40, overall lg. 56 in.

Provenance: The collection of Dr. Clifford D. Harvey, by descent to the consignor.

Stock has a few dings and nicks, the steel fittings and barrel have some light patination, and the lock functions properly., and the lower sling swivel is broken.
