Carved Mahogany Side Chair, reportedly Newport, Rhode Island, c. 1780, the serpentine crest with scrolled terminals centering crosshatched carving, on a pierced splat and trapezoidal slip seat, ht. 37 3/4, seat ht. 17 in.
