Small Adjustable Mahogany Carved and Veneer Desk or Bookstand, possibly Boston, c. 1820, the small rectangular tray above a tooled-leather writing surface which hinges to reveal an interior with two drawers and hinged support apparatus for adjusting the top's angle when open, and small side-mounted pen drawer, all mounted on a hexagonal adjustable post with wooden thumbscrew tightener, carved leafage, and pedestal base with three scroll-carved feet, (imperfections and veneer cracking),ht. 30 1/2, wd. 17 1/2, dp. 16 in.
