Oil on canvas, 30 x 25 in., in a brown-stained molded frame; necklace approx. lg. 12 in.
Condition: Lined, minor retouch on the edge of the woman's face.
Provenance: Purchased at auction at Garth's in 1976.
Note: An inscription in marker on the cardboard backing reads "Unknown Lady + Child/By unknown American Artis[t]/From Pratt Collection/of Rhode Island," just above a label from the Lyman Allen Museum with small inscription reading "Pratt."
