Green-painted Circular-top Candlestand, New England, late 18th century, vase- and ring-turned post and tripod base, ht. 25, dia. 17 in.
Estimate $200-250
repaired crack in top, top a little loose on post, repaired damage to area of post where legs meet. One foot has a different color on the bottom but still plenty of wear, and there is no apparent evidence of restoration. The green paint is old but not original, and has darkened to almost black in places.
