Description:

Dominick and Haff Hammered Sterling Silver Mug and a Pair of Gaylord Sugar Tongs, mug dated "1883," maker's mark, "Sterling 106," ht. 3 1/4; tongs with winged hammer maker's mark, "Hand Wrought Sterling," lg. 3 3/4 in., approx. 6.0 troy oz.

Note: Gaylord Silvercraft operated between 1923 and 1944 at the Gaylord Farm Sanatorium in Wallingford, Connecticut, and provided occupational training to tuberculosis patients, many of them veterans of WWI.
