Philodendron I, 1983-85, edition of 30 plus proofs, published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles (Axsom, 207; NGA/Gemini, 28.131). Numbered and signed "21/30 Kelly" in pencil l.c., publisher's and copyright dry stamps l.r., identified on a label from The Harcus Gallery, Boston, affixed to the backing. Lithograph on paper, image size 17 1/2 x 28 in. (44.4 x 71.2 cm),framed.
Condition: Full sheet with extremely subtle toning to edges, floated within the frame, not examined out of frame.
Estimate $3,500-5,500
The sheet measures 25 x 36 inches. The frame is constructed with a central stretcher bar that precludes removing the print in its entirety from the frame without destroying the latter. We were able to open the corner l.r., and can determine that the work is not hinged at the bottom, and is stamped on the verso (see images). There are no other visible issues to report.
