N.B. Donald Hall published his first book of poetry at the age of 26; he was also a passionate patron and admirer of fine arts. He was the first literary editor of the Paris Review (1953-1961) and during his tenure collected the lithographs used for the covers created by icons of the art world including Robert Motherwell, Andy Warhol, and Willem de Kooning, to name a few.
Sheet size 28 x 34 in. Toning, scattered small crimps and creases to edges, crease to upper center margin measures approximately 2 1/2 in., circular stain near center of lower edge (in margin), stains and pencil markings to the verso.
