Description:

Continental School, 17th Century Style

Lady with an Ermine-trimmed Cloak
Unsigned.
Oil on canvas, 16 x 12 3/4 in. (41.0 x 32.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, retouch, craquelure, varnish discoloration, surface grime.
Estimate $1,000-1,500

Framed dimensions are 20 1/2 x 17 1/2 inches.

Lining appears to turn of the last century. Retouch is primarily to the perimeter of the canvas, although there may be retouch that does not fluoresce. There is some loss of detail in the costume, pehaps from old restoration.
