Thoreau, Henry David (1817-1862) Letters. Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1865. First edition, octavo, spotting, stains, and toning throughout, ex library the Alva Gage Guild Library from the 19th century, with stamp to title and bookplate inside front board, bound in brown publisher's diamond-textured cloth tooled in blind with wreath-motif and spine titles in gilt within holly borders, spine sunned and frayed, some signatures detached, 7 x 4 1/4 in.
