Thoreau, Henry David (1817-1862) A Yankee in Canada with Anti-slavery and Reform Papers. Boston: Ticknor and Fields, 1866. First edition, octavo, bound in publisher's zigzag textured green cloth, blocked in blind, with blind-stamped wreath vignette on front and back boards and author's and publisher's names in gilt on spine in serif typefaces, with holly motif frames; some wear to exterior covering fabric, ex libris J.A. Perkins Jr. of Montreal, with his bookplate, coated brown end leaves, inner front joint cracked, some chips to front end leaf and first blank, title unaffected, 7 x 4 1/4 in.
