The first complete English translation of Newton's Principia, and first English translation of De mundi systemate, originally intended by Newton as the third book of the Principia, translated by Andrew Motte; three octavo volumes, illustrated with engraved bust portrait of Newton, forty-seven folding engraved diagrams, and one folding typographical table, (page 49 in volume 2 with paper fault in bottom corner that masked printing in bottom corner, bottom corner torn with loss), bound in uniform textured green cloth, 8 1/8 x 5 in.
