Including: typed letter signed from Teddy Roosevelt, 10 January 1915, to Henry Curran, Chairman of the Board of Alderman in New York City; typed letter signed by Eleanor to Kate Merle-Smith, on Malacanan Palace, Manila, letterhead, thanking her for tapestry supplies, and expressing homesickness at Christmas time; typed letter signed by FDR to the same addressee (torn in half horizontally, with a chunk missing); the majority of letters addressed to Van Santvoord Merle-Smith (1889-1943) and his wife, Kate Grosvenor Fowler Merle-Smith (1888-1982); with letter signed by Kermit Roosevelt; William Jennings Bryan; and many other letters, signed by Robert Elliott Speer, Frances Cleveland Preston (Grover Cleveland's wife), Norman Davis, Cleveland Dodge, Frank Polk, Francis Duffy, Juan Trippe, H.
