Husbands & Clarke Compound Binocular Microscope, Bristol, England, c. 1860, lacquered brass instrument with damascening with course and fine rack-and-pinion focusing, square pillar, Y-shaped base engraved "Husbands & Clarke Opticians/Bristol," square pillar, large plano mirror, (lacking condenser), with an objective engraved "A. Rofs/1856," a 2-in. Ross objective, a turret objective engraved "Ross/no. 1027/London" along the edge, and additional accessories, ht. 20 in.
