Description:

Meo Camuzet
Clos de Vougeot 2012 (2 bts); "Subtle oak frames intensely an earthy yet cool and airy red and dark berry fruit suffused nose that is trimmed in gentle hints of spice and sandalwood. The mid-palate of the middle weight flavors is quite supple and round though the vibrant and highly complex finish tightens up immediately. I like the balance and sense of tension and overall, this should also age beautifully yet also be reasonably approachable in its youth." Burghound, 94 pts. 01/15 Vosne Romanee Les Chaumes 2012 (1 bt); "An exuberantly spicy nose is composed primarily of ripe black pinot fruit and violet aromas. There is a refined mouth feel to the middle weight flavors that are supported by ripe and fine tannins before culminating in a linear and tight but balanced finish that delivers excellent depth and length. This is better than it usually is as there is more underlying material. Note that this lovely effort should be approachable young." Burghound, 92 pts. 01/15
