Pair of Shell-carved Walnut Side Chairs, Philadelphia area, c. 1760-80, the serpentine beaded crests centering carved shells, above scrolled pierced splats and trapezoidal slip seats, all on shaped front rail centering shell drop pendant and joining frontal cabriole legs with shell-carved knees and claw-and-ball feet, ht. 41 1/4, seat ht. 18 in.
