Paint-decorated Poplar Trunk, probably Vermont, c. 1825-35, the black-painted, dome-top, dovetailed trunk with sheaves of wheat on the top flanked by tulips, the front with a row of tulips on a crosshatched ground, and more blossoms on the sides, ht. 10, wd. 24, dp. 12 in.
